BUTALEJA: Lightning Strikes Man Dead While Untying Goats

Lightning has struck a man dead in Bugosa village, Busaba Sub County, Butaleja district.

 

 

According to eye witnesses, the 22 year old JuniorSagula was killed by Lightning Wednesday evening, 13th August, 2025 while he was untying goats for fear of the heavy clouds that had formed, at 6:00PM.

 

 

 

The Lightening, accompanied with heavy sound, torched the young man, who fell and died instantly, awaiting burial on Thursday, August 14″.

 

Kefa Wasswa Weere, a teacher at Mwiha Primary school in Busaba Town Council and father to the deceased said his son had been a serious footballer, and disciplined student.

 

Cases of lightening are very common in Busaba, but Junior Sagula, is the first human being to have been struck dead in the last 5 years. Largely, it’s been common for the nasty tragedy to kill some animals, and burning trees in the area.

 

 

 

In 2019, lightning struck and affected over 20 pupils of Busaba Primary school, fortunately none died
