Top Story: One Dead, One Injured in Fatal Crash Near Entebbe State House
Entebbe, — A tragic road accident claimed the life of a woman and left a boda boda rider critically injured last night at around 8:00 PM near Lake Victoria Hotel, directly opposite the State House in Entebbe.
The accident involved a speeding Toyota Land Cruiser en route to Entebbe International Airport to pick up a client. According to eyewitnesses, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a boda boda carrying a female passenger, a resident of Lugonjo Zone in Entebbe Division B.
Both the injured rider and the deceased passenger were immediately rushed to Entebbe General Referral Hospital. The woman was pronounced dead upon arrival, while the rider remains in critical condition.
Eyewitness accounts blame the crash on reckless driving and excessive speed by the Land Cruiser’s driver. However, Entebbe Traffic Police have yet to release an official statement on the incident as investigations continue.
