High Court inspects seized items in Sipapa’s robbery case

News

The High Court of Uganda took a critical step in socialite Charles Olim alias Sipapa’s case when it inspected the exhibits in his aggravated robbery case at Kabalagala Police Station.

The inspection was done by High Court officials, legal representatives, and key witnesses on Monday.

Among the items seized from Sipapa’s home were five luxury vehicles, fake gold pieces, assorted jewelry, high-end car rims, and bundles of U.S. dollars in denominations of $100.

While addressing the press, Sipapa’s lawyer, Henry Kunya, claimed that even though the vehicles were allegedly recovered from his client’s property, there is no documentation proving Sipapa’s ownership of the assets.

This visit to Kabalagala Police Station marks a significant procedural step in the trial, offering both prosecution and defense teams a chance to verify the physical evidence at the center of the charges.

Sipapa is expected to reappear before the High Court on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, for cross-examination regarding the seized items.
