Namara Takes Over Office in Bududa as New RDC

Juliet Solome Namara has today, Wednesday, 30th July, 2025 taken over as the new Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Bududa District, replacing Madoi Elijah who has been transferred to Namisindwa District.

 

This change is part of a broader reshuffle of RDCs and RCCs across Uganda, aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency in key urban and rural districts.

 

During the handover ceremony at the district, Namara pledged to continue advocating for and supporting government programs in the district.

 

She expressed her commitment to empowering initiatives that benefit the local community, promising to work closely with stakeholders to drive development and improve livelihoods in Bududa.

 

Her transfer to Bududa District is expected to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the district’s development initiatives.

 

During the handover ceremony, outgoing RDC Madoi Elijah urged the district leadership and technical team to extend their full support to the incoming RDC.

 

He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the RDC and technical staff to ensure the seamless implementation of government programs and projects in District.

 

Martin Kiplangat, the Chief Administrative Officer for Bududa District, welcomed Namara as the new Resident District Commissioner (RDC) and pledged to foster a strong working relationship with her.

 

Kiplangat expressed optimism that their collaboration would enhance the monitoring and implementation of government programs and benefit the district’s residents.

 

In a recent mini reshuffle of Resident District/City Commissioners, several key transfers have been made affecting Eastern Uganda.

 

Mbale City RCC Asuman Nasike has been transferred to Fort Portal City, while Stanley Bayole, formerly Fort Portal City RCC, has been appointed as the new RDC for Mbale District. George William Wopuwa, who has been serving as Mbale District RDC, now takes over as RCC for Mbale City.

 

Lukka Kagenyi, former deputy RDC of Manafwa, has been appointed deputy RCC for Kawempe in Kampala.

 

Patience Wabule former RDC manafwa has been appointed the new RDC for Maracha District.

 

The changes are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership and service delivery at the grassroots level.
