NAMISINDWA: Cattle Thief Killed by Irate Locals After Being Caught Red-Handed

An angry mob has lynched a suspected thief who was caught red-handed with stolen cattle at Bukhaweka Town Council, Namisindwa District.

 

Bernard Kundu, 40, a resident of Kiwatsala village, Munyali parish in Namabya Sub County met his death on the night of Saturday, 18th October after residents nabbed him, with two stolen cattle at about 10:00 pm.

 

According to Namabya sub county LCIII chairperson James Nakhaima Brazil, the mob butchered Kundu by cutting off his arm, sliced his neck and other body parts leading to over bleeding which killed him instantly.

 

He condemned the incident saying people should stop taking the law in their hands arguing that they should have handed the suspect to police or local leaders.

 

By press time, the body had been taken home by police for burial after postmortem.
