Police Arrests Security Guard Who Shot Dead Kampala City tycoon on Sunday

Police has tracked down and arrested Byaruhanga Hillary, a 28-year-old private security guard attached to Don World Security Limited for the murder of Anthony Mutinisa, a 53-year-old businessman and proprietor of Mutinisa Motors Uganda.

According to the Police PRO, Byaruhanga was arrested alongside the company driver, Akampa Mark on Monday, 25^th August, 2025, a day after the murder in Kanungu District.

The suspect allegedly shot Mutinisa in cold blood on Sunday evening and fled with the victim’s car, registration number UA 769 BQ, which has been recovered in Katwe Cell, Kihihi Town Council by police in Kanungu.

Byaruhanga, who had been on the run since the killing, was arrested alongside company driver Mark Akampa, whose involvement in the crime is still under investigation.
