Former NBS TV Barometer presenter and news anchor, Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa, has spoken about the reality of his rumored relationship with fellow TV presenter, Isabella Tugume. Their affectionate videos shared on social media caught many off guard.

A lot of people began to believe that the two were a couple due to their undeniable on-screen chemistry. Additionally, both were publicly known to be single since Zambaali had split from his baby mama.

However, in a local interview, the Nansana Municipality MP hopeful clarified that their relationship was simply for show and pre-planned.

According to Zambali, they would meet at Next Media to discuss their KPIs and how to make them effective.

He decided that portraying a romantic connection with Isabella would help them succeed, and it indeed worked out well for both of them in boosting their profiles.

At Next Media, we often have discussions on how to best promote the brand and ourselves individually. We realized that the two topics people are most interested in are love and politics. I already had the political angle covered, so we chose to pretend to be in a relationship, me and Isabella.

But this was purely for professional reasons; it never went beyond the studio. Doesn’t it make you question which employer would keep you on when you are supposedly in a romantic relationship? Fortunately, this strategy proved to be quite effective for us.

Moreover, Zambaali shared his thoughts on the political future of his party, NUP, and its leader, Bobi Wine. Zambaali referenced the example of former Egyptian leader General Fatah Abdel Sisi, who was ousted after winning over 90% in the presidential election.
