Ministry of Internal Affairs Addresses Don Chris Job Scam, Requests His Immediate Appearance

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has broken its silence on matters regarding a large-scale job scam saga involving Christian Asiimwe, widely known as Don Chris.

While addressing the press, Mr. Simon Mundeyi, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, explained that Don Chris defrauded Ugandans, promising them high-paying jobs abroad, primarily in the UK and Canada.

He stated that the number of Ugandans complaining has risen to 350, and the amount involved is a sum of Ugx 1.4 billion.

Don Chris, a 32-year-old Ugandan, owned Skypin Tour and Travel Company and orchestrated a large-scale job scam, defrauding Ugandans with promises of high-paying jobs primarily in the UK and Canada.

The number of Ugandans who have raised complaints has reached 350, and the total amount involved now is a sum of Ugx 1.4 billion.

Mr. Mundeyi further disclosed that Don Chris fled the country on the 20th of June through the Malaba border and appealed to him to share his perspective so that they can officially hear from his side.
