MASAKA: One Robber Killed by Police, Manhunt Underway for Four Fugitives

Police have killed one robber, while four of his colleagues managed to escape in a foiled robbery at Kizigo Village, Kyotera district.

According to a police statement issued today, Wednesday, 23rd, the incident took place on Tuesday, 22nd July, 2025 when their officers foiled an aggravated robbery.

 

The 5 armed robbers attacked a manager at Mazima Bugaga Coffee factory, stealing 50 million Ugandan shillings.

 

The officers quickly pursued the suspects toward Masaka, intercepting them at Kizigo Village. One robber, Ssenyuumu Lawrence, was put out of action during the confrontation, while 04 others escaped.

 

Two guns, a motorcycle, and other exhibits were recovered.

 

A pursue of the rest of the suspects is underway.
