Ugandan singer and philanthropist Bruno K has launched an urgent fundraising campaign to support the repatriation and burial of Rwandan gospel artist Gogo Gloriose, who tragically passed away in Uganda on September 4 following a brief illness.
Gogo Gloriose, born Gloriose Musabyimanna, had traveled to Uganda to attend a gospel crusade but suddenly fell ill and was admitted to a hospital in Kyengera, a town just outside Kampala. Sadly, she succumbed to the illness shortly after admission.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session held yesterday alongside Gogo’s manager, Bruno K made a heartfelt appeal for financial assistance to help cover outstanding hospital bills, procure a coffin, and arrange the repatriation of her body to Rwanda for a dignified burial.
“We need Gogo’s fans to help us move Gogo back home,” Bruno K said during the live broadcast. “She didn’t come to Uganda for a gig—she was here to minister. We are appealing to everyone, including the churches where she ministered, to join us in this effort.”
The fundraising initiative is calling on fans, well-wishers, and church communities across Uganda and Rwanda to unite in support of the late singer, whose powerful ministry touched many lives across the region.
Bruno K emphasized the urgency of the situation, noting that the body is still at the hospital, and immediate funds are required to settle medical expenses and begin the necessary preparations for her return to Rwanda.
“Let’s give Gogo the send-off she deserves,” he added.
