Alien Skin Declares Chameleone “Faded” as Music Feud Heats Up

Kampala, Uganda – The brewing feud between music legend Jose Chameleone and controversial rising star Alien Skin has reached new heights, with both camps trading jabs in what is shaping up to be one of Uganda’s most talked-about showbiz rivalries of the year.

What began as a verbal swipe from Chameleone, who recently dismissed Alien Skin’s music as “crap,” has escalated into a full-blown war of words, drawing in not just the artists, but their entourages as well.

“You’ve Faded!” – Alien Skin Hits Back

Responding to Chameleone’s criticism, Alien Skin didn’t hold back.

“I’m better than him musically, and he knows it,” the Sitya Danger hitmaker said. “That’s why he’s picking a fight—because he can’t compete with the new generation.”

Alien Skin questioned why a veteran of Chameleone’s stature would be so invested in discrediting an upcoming artist like himself.

“Isn’t he one of the so-called ‘Big Three’? Then why is he chasing clout with me? If he thinks he can compete, let him step up. But we all know he can’t keep up anymore,” he added, brushing off the long-standing debate around Uganda’s top three music legends.

Tensions Rise: “We’ll Teach Him a Lesson” – Bodyguard Warns

Adding fuel to the fire, Alien Skin’s bodyguard Ibrah Kabadiya issued a stark warning to Chameleone.

“You’re no longer a major figure in music—you’ve faded,” Kabadiya said. “If you keep talking trash about us, we’ll teach you a hard lesson. We’re not afraid. We’re ready.”

The warning has further escalated an already tense standoff, prompting concerns from fans who fear the spat may spiral beyond just words.

A Clash of Eras

Jose Chameleone, whose career spans more than two decades, is widely regarded as one of East Africa’s greatest musical exports. With a catalog of chart-topping hits and a fanbase that stretches across the region, Chameleone has earned his place in the pantheon of Ugandan music legends.

However, Alien Skin represents a new wave of artists—unfiltered, unapologetic, and fiercely independent. His quick rise to fame, street credibility, and outspoken personality have resonated with younger audiences, positioning him as both a disruptor and a challenger to the old guard.

What’s at Stake?

While many dismiss the feud as a publicity stunt or generational clash, others see it as a reflection of the deeper tensions within Uganda’s evolving music industry—where questions of legacy, relevance, and artistic direction continue to stir debate.

For now, the spotlight remains firmly on both artists. Whether the back-and-forth ends in music, mediation, or mayhem remains to be seen.
