BREAKING: Former Pentecostal Pastor, Wife Arrested After Allegedly Getting Drunk at Bar With Baby

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Three years after parting ways with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI), former Alabama pastor Michael Trosclair and his wife, Shari Tremba, were arrested after police say they were found intoxicated at an Indianapolis bar with their infant daughter.

According to AL.com, officers responded to a call around 12:38 a.m. on June 16 at the Wild Beaver Saloon, where a woman was reportedly drinking, breastfeeding, and soliciting customers for beer.

Police say the woman, later identified as Tremba, 42, admitted the baby was hers. Witnesses told officers she had been at the bar since about 10:30 p.m. and was allegedly offering sex to patrons in exchange for alcohol.

When questioned, Tremba told police she was there with her husband, Trosclair, 45, who arrived at the scene intoxicated. According to the probable cause affidavit, Trosclair became belligerent when officers said they would have the baby examined, demanding a lawyer and refusing to cooperate.

“His gait was what I would consider an intoxicated walk that I have seen many times during my 25 years as a police officer,” Sgt. Ty Van Wagner wrote in his report.

Both were arrested and charged with neglect of a dependent and public intoxication. Their daughter was taken into the custody of Child Protective Services.

Trosclair, formerly the senior pastor of Turning Point Church in Theodore, Alabama, was serving as a regional vice president at Primerica at the time of his arrest. Tremba was reportedly also employed in financial services.

A spokesperson for the UPCI confirmed that Trosclair had been a licensed minister with the denomination but had not been affiliated with the organization for about three years.
