13th Zzina Awards (2025–26): Full List of Winners Announced

The 13th edition of the Zzina Awards for 2025–26 has officially recognized the year’s most outstanding talents in Uganda’s entertainment and sports industries. The annual awards celebrate excellence across music, digital content, and sports, honoring both established stars and emerging acts who have made a significant impact over the past year.

Leading the night was Kapeke, who emerged as one of the biggest winners, taking home multiple accolades including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Male Artist.

Major Highlights

Kapeke dominated the awards with multiple wins, solidifying his influence in Uganda’s music scene, particularly in the LugaFlow and rap categories. Tracy Melon also had a standout year, earning both Best Female Artist and Breakthrough Artist honors.

Karole Kasita continued to shine in the dancehall category, while Dokta Brain and Bassboi were recognized for their behind-the-scenes contributions to songwriting and production.

Beyond music, long-distance runner Jacob Kiplimo was named Sports Personality of the Year, and celebrated musician Iryn Namubiru received the prestigious Legend Award in recognition of her lasting contribution to the industry.

The 13th Zzina Awards once again highlighted the diversity, growth, and creative excellence shaping Uganda’s entertainment landscape.
