South Sudan Denies Reports of Plan to Resettle Palestinians from Gaza

The Government of South Sudan has strongly denied recent media reports claiming that it is in talks with Israel to resettle Palestinian nationals from Gaza within its territory.

In an official statement released today, August 13, 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation described the reports as “baseless” and stressed that they “do not reflect the official position or policy of the government of South Sudan.”

“The Ministry urges all media outlets to exercise due diligence and verify information through official channels before publication,” the statement added.

The government emphasized its commitment to transparent communication and called for responsible journalism amid growing speculation.
