Electoral Commission Changes Venues for Regional Youth MP Elections

Kampala, Uganda — The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced changes to the venues for the Regional Youth Representatives to Parliament elections, scheduled for Wednesday, 28 January 2026.

According to the EC, the Eastern Region Regional Conference will be held at the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Mbale City, starting at 9:00am.

The Central Region conference will take place at Masaka Sports Arena in Kitovu–Masaka City.

For the Northern Region, the conference will be conducted at Mvara Secondary School in Arua City, while the Western Region conference will be hosted at Ntare School in Mbarara City.

In a press release dated 23 January 2026, the Electoral Commission urged all candidates, agents, and supporters to strictly observe the communicated dates, venues, and guidelines to ensure a smooth electoral process.

The Regional Youth Representatives to Parliament elections form part of Uganda’s broader youth representation framework aimed at enhancing youth participation in governance.
