King Saha Arrested at Home, Days to His Kololo Concert

King Saha Reportedly Taken from Kyanja Home Amid Gunfire Ahead of Kololo Concert

Ugandan singer Mansur Semanda, popularly known as King Saha, was reportedly taken from his home in Kyanja on Tuesday evening by armed men, in a dramatic incident that has raised concern among his fans and members of the entertainment industry.

The reported incident occurred just hours after the singer had been moving around Kampala mobilising support for his highly anticipated King Saha concert at Kololo Airstrip on Friday.

According to reports and videos circulating on social media, armed personnel arrived at King Saha’s residence before taking the musician away to an unknown destination. Pulse Uganda reported that videos from the scene showed men wearing jackets branded JATT, while authorities had not issued an official statement explaining the incident by press time.

Gunfire Reportedly Heard in Kyanja

The operation reportedly caused panic in the neighbourhood, with videos shared online appearing to show people running for safety amid claims that gunshots had been fired.

Some social media users alleged that people at the scene were injured during the incident. However, details about the reported injuries, including the condition of any injured individuals, had not been independently confirmed at the time of publication.

Nahabwe Bruce was among those who posted claims online alleging that security personnel fired live ammunition at people in the area. These claims remain unverified.

King Saha Reportedly Taken to Unknown Location

The circumstances surrounding King Saha’s reported detention remain unclear.

National Unity Platform Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya also claimed on social media that King Saha had been “violently abducted” from Kyanja and taken to an unknown destination.

Videos circulating online purportedly showed armed men escorting the singer away from his residence.

However, without an official explanation from security authorities, it remains unclear whether King Saha was formally arrested, detained for questioning or taken into custody over a specific alleged offence.

King Saha Had Been Mobilising Fans for Friday Concert

The reported incident came on the same day King Saha had been actively promoting his upcoming concert.

The singer had earlier been seen in Kampala city centre rallying fans to attend his Tondeka Ekololo concert, scheduled for Friday at Kololo Airstrip.

The event had generated significant attention among Ugandan music fans, with supporters looking forward to seeing the singer perform live.

His reported detention has now cast uncertainty over the concert, which is only days away.

Fans Demand Answers

News of King Saha’s reported arrest quickly spread across social media, prompting concern among his supporters, fellow artistes and other members of Uganda’s entertainment industry.

Many fans are now seeking clarification about the singer’s whereabouts and the reasons behind the security operation.

At the time of writing, no official statement had been issued by authorities explaining why King Saha was reportedly taken from his Kyanja home. His management had also not publicly provided detailed information about his whereabouts.

For now, attention remains focused on whether authorities will clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident and whether King Saha’s Kololo concert will proceed as scheduled.
