Shs500 Argument Ends in Horror as Woman Allegedly cuts off husband private parts

Police in Uganda have arrested a woman following an alleged domestic violence incident in which her husband sustained serious injuries after a dispute over Shs500.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Monday evening in a village in the central region of the country. Preliminary investigations indicate that a disagreement broke out between the couple after the husband allegedly failed to give his wife the money she had requested.

Authorities say the argument escalated into a violent confrontation, during which the husband was seriously injured. He was later rushed to a nearby health facility, where he is currently receiving medical treatment. Medical officials described his condition as critical but stable.

Local residents alerted police after hearing distress calls from the couple’s home. Officers from the area responded and arrested the suspect, who is now being detained at a local police station as investigations continue.

A police spokesperson condemned the incident, stating that domestic violence remains a major concern in communities across the country. “No misunderstanding, regardless of how small, should result in violence. We urge couples to seek dialogue, mediation, or support from local leaders,” the spokesperson said.

The suspect is expected to be charged with causing grievous harm and will be presented before court once investigations are complete.

The incident has once again drawn attention to the growing problem of domestic violence in Uganda, with authorities calling for increased community awareness and early conflict resolution.
