President Museveni Attends Consecration of Daughter Patience Museveni Rwabwogo as Bishop in Maya

President Yoweri Museveni joined hundreds of worshippers, church leaders and government officials in Maya, Uganda, on Sunday for the consecration of his daughter, Patience Museveni Rwabwogo, as an Episcopal Bishop.

The colourful ceremony was held at Covenant Hill, marking a major milestone in the ministry of Patience Museveni Rwabwogo, who founded Covenant Nations Church two decades ago and continues to serve as its senior pastor.

American evangelist Bishop Dr LaDonna Osborn officiated the consecration, with several local and international clergy members taking part in the historic religious ceremony.

Among the prominent guests was Nigerian preacher Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who delivered the main sermon and offered prayers for Africa.

Museveni Cuts Speech Short Over Janet’s Health

President Museveni attended the consecration alongside First Lady Janet Museveni and other members of the First Family.

During his address, the President became emotional as he spoke about his daughter’s journey in Christian ministry. However, he cut his speech short after expressing concern about the First Lady, who was still recovering from an illness.

Museveni’s emotional moment attracted attention from worshippers gathered at Covenant Hill as he reflected on his daughter’s dedication to the church and her service over the years.

Museveni Gifts Daughter 50 Cows

As part of the celebrations, President Museveni reportedly gifted his daughter 50 cows, adding a traditional touch to the historic occasion.

The gesture highlighted the family’s celebration of Patience Museveni Rwabwogo’s elevation to the episcopacy and her two decades of ministry.

Pastor Adeboye Calls for African Independence

Pastor Enoch Adeboye used his sermon to address broader issues affecting the African continent.

The Nigerian preacher prayed for a future in which African nations would become less dependent on foreign borrowing and strengthen their economic independence.

His message focused on the importance of African nations developing their own resources and building greater self-reliance.

Patience Museveni Rwabwogo’s 20-Year Ministry

Patience Museveni Rwabwogo has been involved in Christian ministry for about two decades. She established Covenant Nations Church, which has grown into a prominent Christian ministry in Uganda.

Her consecration as an Episcopal Bishop represents a significant new chapter in her religious career and was celebrated by church members, family, government officials and international Christian leaders.
