BREAKING: Manchester United Fan Allegedly Kills Arsenal Supporter in Kampala Clash

Police in Kampala are investigating a fatal altercation involving two football fans after a Manchester United supporter allegedly killed an Arsenal diehard during celebrations in Bakuli, Kampala Central Division.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SP Rachael Kawala, the incident happened on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at approximately 6:30 PM as Arsenal fans celebrated what was described as their first Premier League title in 22 years.

The deceased has been identified as Denis, a 34-year-old boda boda rider and resident of Bakuli in Kampala District.

Preliminary police findings indicate that Denis, who was reportedly an Arsenal FC supporter, got into a heated misunderstanding with the suspect identified only as Musiramu, who is alleged to be a Manchester United fan.

Police say the disagreement quickly escalated into a physical fight during which the suspect allegedly struck Denis on the head. The victim reportedly collapsed and died instantly at the scene.

Authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect, who remains on the run.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased was transferred to Mulago National Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination as investigations into the incident continue.

The shocking incident has sparked concern among football fans and residents in Kampala over rising violence linked to football rivalries.
